Fee Change Log

Every documented correction to the fee data on this site — what changed, when, and why. This list is deliberately short: an entry is only added here when a real rate model was actually fixed, not on a routine re-verification pass.

The “Verified [date]” badge on every calculator reflects the last time that platform's rates were checked against its own official fee page, whether or not anything changed. This page is different: it's the record of the times something was actually wrong and got fixed. If you ever spot a number that looks off, tell us — a correction here is the outcome we want, not something to hide.

2026-08-05 eBay

Rebuilt against eBay's official Store subscriptions & fees page — two real errors fixed

The old model used a single flat 13.6% rate for every seller. That rate is only correct for sellers without a Store subscription — Basic/Premium/Anchor/Enterprise subscribers pay 12.7% on most categories, about 10% less in relative terms. Since a Store subscription is common among repeat sellers, this was silently wrong for a large share of visitors, not an edge case.

The old model applied that percentage with no ceiling. eBay's real schedule brackets the rate: it applies only up to a threshold ($7,500 without a Store, $2,500 with one) — the portion of a sale above that threshold drops to 2.35%. Any item selling above the threshold was being overcharged in our own number.

A "Collectibles & Fine Art 15%" category entry from the previous version could not be corroborated against eBay's current official schedule and was removed rather than carried forward — there's no flat 15% collectibles rate in eBay's current fee structure.

2026-07-04 Depop

Removed Depop's 10% selling fee for US/UK sellers — eliminated in 2024, calculator still charged it

Depop eliminated its 10% selling fee for US and UK sellers in 2024. As of this correction, US sellers pay $0 selling fee — the only seller-side cost is Depop Payments processing at 3.3% + $0.45 on the total transaction (item + shipping).

The 10% fee is still real, but only applies to sellers based outside the US/UK, which this calculator does not currently model separately.

Why we publish this

A calculator that's never wrong is either extremely lucky or not being checked closely enough. We'd rather show you the two times we found and fixed a real error than pretend it never happens. See who keeps this accurate for how rates get verified in the first place.
