How Grailed's tiered commission works
As of May 2026, Grailed charges a 6% commission on sales under $120, and 9% on sales of $120 or more — a change from the flat 9% rate Grailed used previously. On top of the commission, a separate payment processing fee always applies, since Grailed routes payments through Stripe.
The processing fee depends on three things
- Stripe onboarding status: Verified sellers pay a $0.49 fixed fee per transaction; non-onboarded sellers pay $0.99. Onboarding is free and takes a few minutes — there's no reason to skip it.
- Buyer location: Domestic (US) sales carry a 3.49% processing rate. International sales carry 4.99%.
- Shipping method: If you use a Grailed Label (Grailed's own prepaid shipping), commission is calculated on the item price alone. If you arrange your own shipping, both commission and processing apply to the item price plus shipping charged to the buyer.
