What we collect

• Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into a calculator (sale price, shipping, item cost, currency) live in your browser only. They are not sent to our servers.
• Local preferences. We store your chosen theme (light/dark) and currency in your browser’s localStorage so the experience is consistent across visits. These are scoped to your device.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status) for the purpose of operating, securing, and debugging the Service. Logs are retained for a short, defined period.

What we do not collect

• Account information — we have no sign-up or login.
• Email addresses — unless you write to us first.
• Sale, profit, or any other calculator output.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which calculators are most useful. GA4 records anonymous, aggregate usage events (pages viewed, calculator interactions, country-level region) so we can improve the tool. GA4 does not record your sale price, fee, or any calculator input — only the fact that a calculator was used. IP addresses are anonymized, and no calculator input, output, or identifying data is sold or shared with third parties. You can opt out at any time by installing a browser content blocker or using your browser’s privacy settings.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display ads and support free access to every calculator. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technology to serve ads and measure their performance; depending on your location and settings, this can include ads personalized to your browsing activity across sites. Google's own use of this data is governed by Google's Partner Sites policy. None of this touches your calculator inputs or outputs — those never leave your browser. You can view or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings, or opt out of interest-based ads industry-wide at aboutads.info.

A few pages link to specific paid tools we think are genuinely worth a seller's time — right now that's eRank for Etsy sellers doing SEO, and Easyship for sellers comparing shipping rates. These are affiliate links — if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They only appear on pages where they're actually relevant, each one is clearly labeled where it appears, and neither has any effect on a single fee number or calculation shown anywhere on this site.

Your rights

You can clear everything we store in your browser at any time by clearing site data for platformfeecalculator.com. If you have a request that goes beyond what’s stored in your browser, reach out via the contact page.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If a change is material we will make a reasonable effort to surface it on the homepage for a reasonable period.
